At Rendola Riding, time slows down. Every day can be an adventure or a moment of pure relaxation. From unspoiled nature to cities of art, from Chianti trails to Valdarno stores, here's everything you can experience with us.
We are at the center of a network of well-marked CAI trails. You can start directly from the house to climb through oak and chestnut forests to the scenic ridges of the Chianti Mountains.
Recommended routes:
- San Tommè and Montevarchi: among mule tracks, churches and typical bars
- Torre di Galatrona and Castello di Cennina: medieval times and views
Rendola's location is perfect for cycling on scenic roads with little traffic:
- San Gusmè, Radda, Gaiole: iconic villages among vineyards and cypress trees
- Castles of Meleto and Brolio: with tasting opportunities
- Setteponti Road (Cassia Vetus): perfect for those looking for quiet routes without too much elevation gain
We are very close to Florence, Arezzo and Siena, all reachable in less than an hour. But that's not all: we also recommend places that are less traveled but full of charm:
- Cavriglia Rose Garden: the largest collection of roses in Europe
- Badia a Coltibuono: historic gardens and wineries
- Loro Ciuffenna and Gropina: medieval bridges and Romanesque churches
- Gaville Agricultural Museum: with 18th-century olive press still intact
If you wish, Jenny will be happy to guide you to Arezzo and show you the frescoes of Piero della Francesca.
If you love to shop, the area offers many options:
- Montevarchi weekly market (Thursday morning): clothing, gifts and bargains
- Arezzo antiques fair: first Sunday of the month
- Prada Outlet (4 km) and The Mall (20 km): high fashion at reduced prices
- Montevarchi Covered Market: fresh local produce every day - wine, oil, cheese, honey and seasonal vegetables
