Ducks and pigeons are raised for the table, hens (foxes permitting) lay eggs daily and a well-stocked kitchen garden provides fresh vegetables most of the year. There is no vineyard but local farmers supply excellent Chianti wine.

Restaurant “La Fonte”
Sometimes our guests are invited to dine at La Fonte, our restaurant in the village of Rendola, just 200 yards away. This will be a festive occasion and you will get an opportunity to meet the local Italians who appreciate our cooking as much as you do.

A party at “La Fonte”
All meals are served with the local Chianti wine and sometimes you will get a chance to sample the famous Chianti Classico with the black rooster on its label. White wine will be supplied on request.
