WHAT TO BRING
For riders essential items are: helmet, riding-trousers (jeans are not always comfortable), riding boots or walking shoes + half-chaps (easier to pack), full-length raincoat (yes, it can rain in Italy, too!), and gloves if you are used to wearing them. Otherwise dress according to the season. Remember that you don’t have to bring out your finery at Rendola! There is a washing-machine and an iron if you need them.
Other useful items: suncream, lipsalve, personal medicines, small camera with strap you can put round your neck, gilet with pockets or bumbag. Remember that there are plenty of good books at Rendola and that there is free WIFI. All guests are advised not to bring too much luggage: bulky suitcases hamper you on your travels (there are steps everywhere!). Reserve some space, however, for anything you might want to buy during your stay. Buy your shampoos and suchlike when you get to Italy to avoid having to show them at the airport.
Please note:
For prices for riders and non-riders: please contact Jenny 0039 0559707045 or your riding agency
Anyone wanting a shorter holiday can do ‘A Taste of Tuscany’,the first four days of any Discover Tuscany Classic programme (Sat-Wed).
All partecipants are asked to take out insurance that covers all aspects of their riding holiday.
If Covid 19 is still with us you must follow the rules of mask-wearing (but not during meals and when riding!) and social distancing and bring a Green Card or equivalent. Those who have paid a deposit for a ride which has to be cancelled due to unforseeable circumstances related to Covid 19 will be fully reimbursed.
INSURANCE
Although Rendola Riding is insured, Italian insurance companies are slow to act and notoriously reluctant to pay out, so we require you to get out a personal holiday insurance to cover your holiday. If you should fall ill while at Rendola you can be visited by our excellent local doctor and, if necessary, receive treatment at the E.R of our local hospital.
